September 25th, 2011 Newsletter
Well, our 2011-2012 season is underway and off to what looks like a great start. Despite our move to Stan Siwik (or maybe becasue of it), we have managed to add a few new divers to our club. A HUGE welcome to those families, and to everyone for coming back for another season. Those of you who have been here for a while, take a few minutes to introduce yourself in the gallery if you see a new face and help the new families feel welcome. For those of you who are new, take the opportunity to chat with some of the other parents who are eagerly watching their child dive. For those of you who are new, we try to send one newsletter out a month just to update everyone on what is going on with the club.

Board Positions
Our club is run by 5 very dedicated board members (you met them at registration and see at least 2 of them every night that we dive). As you can imagine there are a lot of little jobs that need to get done in order for a club to operate and grow. We are looking for parents who are interested in getting involved. We meet monthly (usually during diving) for about an hour to an hour and a half. If you think you can spare a few hours to get involved, please talk to a board member at the pool or email Jeff Meadows to find out how to get involved.
Coaches Corner
Emma, Kelsey and Brooklyn would like to extend a huge welcome to all of our new and returning divers. It is great to see all of the new faces at the pool. They would also like to remind parents to please try to sit away from the end of the boards when in the stands. This is specifically for safety reasons (the divers will often be looking up at the parents instead of the coaches and this is when accidents tend to happen on the board).
In order to better meet the needs of your child, we ask that you talk to our coaches on a weekly basis. Let them know how things are going and ask any questions that you might have about how your child is progressing.
See you at the pool!
